Students of all ages dream of becoming president of the United States one day, but few have the opportunity to sit at the resolute desk or engage in a situation room role playing experience to fully understand what it means to be president. Now you can at the White House Experience and Museum of Democracy at Long Island University. Our once-in-a-lifetime experience serves as a hub for much needed access to presidential materials for research and education, especially for future generations.
We invite K-12 and youth group field trips, research tours, executive leadership seminars, and tourism from all over the world to see Long Island’s footprint as a top destination for civic education in the Northeast.

Various workshops help teachers of children in Kindergarten through grade 12 create meaningful, self-guided class visits to the White House Experience and Museum of Democracy at Long Island University. Programs include resources and curriculum materials on how to conduct a White House Situation Room Experience in your classroom.
Presidential gifts, books and souvenirs are available for students of all ages.
